The Lord Will Give Strength

Musical break…

From Carolyn’s upcoming album “You Cover Me” (which we’re hoping to finish in two months, if she ever gets off her butt and gets back in the studio). ;-)

The Lord Will Give Strength
Music by Carolyn Wing Greenlee
Words from Psalms 29:11 and 27:14
==========================

The Lord will give strength to His people
The Lord will bless His people with peace
Wait on the Lord, be of good courage,
and He will strengthen your heart.

      Thanks, Kathie. Lots of collaboration going on for that song to come about. The singers are from my son Thomas’ church, and include his family and youth group. The instrumentation was done by my friend Dale Enstrom, with whom I’ve been doing music since 1983. Dan Worley did the engineering and the viola part. And the Holy Spirit inspired the words, which appear in Psalm 29. I love the soothing feel of this song, and the words that remind me I don’t have to worry; the Lord will give me the strength I need for whatever comes. Love, Carolyn.

    Dear Carolyn, and Dan,

    What great verses to put to music! Thank you for arranging it for your album. It is/will be appropriate more and more as the days go by with their uncertainty.

    Love, Darda

      You are so right-on! Many of the songs for this album have been chosen with that in mind. The uncertainty of the future is a big worry for the whole world. There is so much violence and insecurity. There is only one safe place–under the shadow of the Almighty. He covers us with His pinions. Under His wings we take refuge. He covers us with love. –Carolyn
