Hello all,
Here’s another one of Carolyn’s songs from her upcoming album. I’m posting these up as soon as the mixes are complete. My thanks to Marco Verdugo who’s been helping me finalize the mixes with his expert ear and suggestions.

As Fire Burns Brushwood
Music by Carolyn Wing Greenlee
Words from Isaiah 64:2-3
==========================
Oh, that You would rend the heavens!
That You would come down
That the mountains might shake at Your presence
As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil.
Oh, that You would rend the heavens!
That You would come down
That the mountains might shake at Your presence
As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil.
As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil.
Make Your Name known to Your adversaries
That the nations may tremble at Your presence
When You do awesome things for which we do not look
As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil.
As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil.
You came down! You came down!
The mountains shook at Your presence.
You came down! You came down!
The mountains shook at Your presence.
Oh, that You would rend the heavens!
That You would come down
That the mountains might shake at Your presence
As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil.
As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil.
As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil.

April 25, 2013 - 1:34 AMAre you kidding, Karen? No, of course not. It’s our buddy Dale Enstrom, even better than ever. As you know, he can play almost anything—from old time gospel to blues and rock. Glad you enjoyed it. He plays on nearly all the songs on the album, just as he has been on every one of my recording project since 1982.
Blessings,
Carolyn

April 3, 2013 - 3:36 PMHi Carolyn! Another wonderful WORD song!
WOW…fascinating words. Drove me straight to Isaiah to check it out. Your song was just the beginning of the incredible word picture of the Lord’s power and judgment bringing the Prophet Isaiah word’s back to life again!
Made me wonder at the severity of Judgment…and the grace that averts the fire…as I read on, saw a verse of reply, at least in my mind.
Isaiah 66: 2a “…But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.”
Phew…thank you Jesus!
Great bluesy sound. LOVED the piano! Love you too! Nancy
