Dear Ones,
I’ve received caring and concerned emails from a number of you, worried for my safety in the onslaught of mighty storms. I so appreciate your loving care, checking up on me. I want to let you know that many of us here are grateful for the deluge, and the pictures below will show you why. Even after the storms in January, the lake is still quite low. Friends were concerned about their wells going dry, and there’s always worry about fire when things dry out. We have had so much drought that I wondered how we would get through another year. Most of us rely on the lake for our water.
Now, of course, we’re having a break from rain, but more is coming, though only God knows how much. We still need a lot to fill the lake back up. I’m grateful, and so are many others, for the water that we are getting this winter.
Sometimes all you hear are the disasters, suffering, and miseries, so I wanted you to have a more complete picture of our situation here in Lake County. Dan sent me the message below, and the photos he took at the end of last year.
Blessings to all of you. Thank you for your concern and prayers.
This is the message from Dan:
“These were taken on December 28th after we had received some rain, but before this last deluge. Long way to go.”
