Mary’s Song of Obedience

Sometimes God asks us to do something difficult, but we can trust Him to take us through it all.

“Mary’s Song of Obedience”

In the dark, in the rain,
In the sorrow and the pain,
You are here. You are here.
Through my doubts, though I cry,
You are always by my side
Even though I don’t always know.

When it comes to choices,
When it comes to fears,
I don’t trust the voices calling in my ears.

When it’s hard to obey,
You will always show the way.
In the dark, You will be my light.

Nothing’s clear. Things have changed.
Nothing will ever be the same.
Be the star that will guide my night.
You’re my God. I can rest tonight.

How lovely is this song, Carolyn, that you shared with us. A wonderful homage to your loved ones who are part of the Star that guides you.

Alice, I never thought of that, but you’re right! They guide me every day, all day long with the things they taught me and the way they loved me. Just this morning, I was thanking the Lord for what Dennis taught me in energy techniques that I can now use to help clients in this stressful world. I have many reasons to be grateful as we head into 2014. It’s a time for stickking together and helping each other as much as we can. Love, C

    Dearest Carolyn,

What a beautiful testimony of God’s Redeeming Grace for Christmas from your heart to mine. Yes, I take it personally. Thank you C. for your love.
Thank you for singing Mary’s Song of Obedience to me right from your home to mine this special Christmas Eve day. You brought tears of joy, hope and endurance to me. I love you. Nancy

Nancy, that’s exactly what I wanted. BE BLESSED! So glad we got to connect this day even though you’ll be with famly instead of with our church family tonight. I will miss your smiling face with the Spirit shining in your eyes, but the Lord gave us our own, private moment. He’s so mindful! And did you notice something else new? Dan changed my avatar image. Recognize the photo? It’s the one you took at the Manteca bookfair grounds near the tent where I gave my presentation. We have been so blessed this year! Many adventures lie ahead, unseen in 2014. We can walk confidently through whatever comes because Jesus goes before us, behind us, beside us. He covers us with His wings, and underneath are the Everlasting Arms.

I certainly recognized the picture, but I didn’t know the word Avatar Image! You are always educating me when you don’t even know it! It is a beautiful picture of you and Hedy. The colors so pretty with the living water fountain behind you. Kind of a spiritual picture of you, your beautiful inner Living Water (Jesus) springing up and out to quench the thirst of all those you come in contact with. Merry Christmas!
